The Phantoms Study Centre has continued to consolidate the innovation and extension of the curriculum begun in early 2007.

In addition to podcasting, animation, music, digital storytelling and newsletter creation in comic-strip form, the students now bring all of their work together on iWeb for sharing with others.

Striving to bring new and unique learning experiences for children the centre has linked up with the Rams. Students from the Rams and Phantoms swopped centres and used cameras to record collaborative projects – A1 posters were created for awards evening and to go back to schools to publicise, promote and celebrate PfS. This is followed by video link up via iChat when the students work on joint projects.

The centre continues to offer PfS sessions to all Derby City schools. Unique to the city the interactive Sportwall has proved very popular and has introduced an exciting element of physical activity and mental maths challenge.

The centre also trains local teachers through its teaching partner scheme and nationally trains teachers and educators as part of the Apple Regional Training Centre programme
