Description: The Derby County Study Support Centre continues to develop its teaching programme to include quality learning experiences for its pupils.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with pupils, parents and teachers confirming improvements in attitude to learning as a result of attending the centre.

There have been some exciting developments in media technology.

Music and video creation have been extremely well received by the pupils.
Consequently, daytime provision has been extended to include media sessions for schools, and training on the software for teachers and Local Authority officers.

Sponsorship from MVS Digital and Sony has allowed the Derby PfS co-ordinator to train 16 other PfS centres.

The centre continues to provide training for teachers to become PfS teaching partners, developing a number of highly skilled and motivated teachers, who bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the centre.

Professional development will also be offered to teaching assistants providing an opportunity for them to become PfS mentors and/or bus escorts for their schools.
